It is with great sadness I have to announce the sudden death of Charlie on 2 September. He was an active member of the Club and cruiser owner and BJRC racer and we extend our condolences to Valerie and all the family.
Following a full season of sailing events it is now time to look at the work that is required over the winter to maintain the club at the high standard that we all want to enjoy. The following dates are when all members are asked to turn up and help with the varied jobs that need doing and the old adage, many hands make lite work so please all try and come along to at least one weekend and help. The work starts at 9:30 and finished about 16:00 with mid morning tea and coffee supplied and a simple lunch.
Hunts Sailing Club in St Ives have again invited entries for their Solo Open on 30th September. For further details see the flyer on the noticeboard in the Clubhouse Foyer or check out www.huntssc.org.uk
Just a reminder that entries for the BSC Photographic competition close on 4 September. Entry forms and all details are available in the club foyer. Now is the time to show off all those marvellous pictures taken over the Summer!
